Stoke Prior is a village just outside of Bromsgrove with a long history behind it. In the 19th century well-known industrialist John Corbett made the town one of the largest salt works in Europe, making himself a great fortune and building up the area around into the village now known as Stoke Prior.
Now, Stoke Prior is home to many offices and companies, and still houses the headquarters of LG Harris Ltd, also known as Harris Brush.
Despite the number of employers in the area, residentially Stoke Prior is still relatively quiet with a strong village community, with local pubs and social clubs hosting regular activities for families. There are a range of properties, from historical period cottages, to larger, more modern houses, to large executive homes. All properties in the village of course benefit from being at most a few minutes’ walk from the surrounding countryside. Stoke prior is home to Stoke Prior First School, and is only a short distance away from further schools in Bromsgrove.
